The Maple Tree Restaurant
If there is one meal of the day I can do without, it is breakfast. I feel choices for this meal are very limited and boring. That was until my family vacationed in Williamsburg, Virginia, and experienced a rather unique breakfast atmosphere at The Maple Tree Restaurant. Centered in a busy downtown strip of hotels and chain restaurants miles long, The Maple Tree Restaurant resembles a castle, although a lot smaller and cozier. It has a Medieval theme and looks very misplaced but eye catching.
A scent of smoked bacon suddenly engulfed the air as we walked towards the quaint restaurant. Opening the oversized old oak door with wide black hinges, it creaked like we were entering a haunted house. A young Celtic looking hostess had been patiently standing by the door to greet us with a warm "Good Morning" and scurried to grab menus that were neatly placed in a thick woven basket. Directing us towards our table, we noticed her tight fitting......
