African Americans Politics
The success of African Americans in politics, business and entertainment has been growing rapidly. There has been enough of affirmative action during the years. Affirmative action is a policy or a program of giving certain preferences to certain groups. This typically focuses on education, employment, government contracts, health care, or social welfare. Although Affirmative action isn’t needed, reparation is. In my opinion reparation is needed for all the years our ancestors sacrificed and died just to get us closer and closer to freedom. Reparation is the cause of racism against whites. Most black believe that the government should give them and money, and an apology. The government tried back in 1865 when freed salves were awarded 40 acres and a mule for compensation. Around 40,000 freed slaves were settled on 400,000 acres in Georgia and South Carolina.
