"Getting To Know You" Speech
I was born in Ojai, CA in 1979 to a mother who was going through a separation/ divorce with my natural father. We lived alone for the first five years of my life, spending much of our time with my grandparents who owned an Airstream. My mother married the guy that I call “Dad” in 1986. He took me in right away and has treated me like I am his own flesh and blood (he has two sons of his own from a previous marriage).
I grew up well, traveling all over the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), and have even been to the Caribbean and Egypt. I earned my Eagle Scout in 1997 and I am planning on becoming active in the Scouts again when I have the proper resources. I didn’t really push myself in school. I was okay with B’s and the occasional C. (My mother was a school teacher- this really pissed her off).
I am a salesman by trade. I am currently working in the Tanning Salon Industry. I work out of my home; selling products to other salons outside of Simi Valley/ Moorpark and I......
