My name is Saint Ignatius of Loyola, and I was born in 1941. I was born in Northern Spain, more specifically Azpeitia in the Basque province of Guipuzcoa.
I have twelve brothers and sisters, all of which are older than me. I have a gambling problem, and I enjoy swordplay and dress in mail and wear breastplates. I continued along this lifestyle until I was thirty, at which time I experienced a conversion.
In a battle against the French, a cannon ball struck my leg. I was carried home by the French, to recuperate in my home, the castle of Loyola. I became very bored, and needed something to read. I came across the books of Christ and the saints, and reading them was a life changing experience.
I was eager to study to become a priest, but first needed the proper Latin language skills. I was now thirty-three, and had to study Latin at a school in Barcelona with young boys. He got in trouble for pulling children aside from class and telling them the greatness......
