Societies Bad Example

With the education system the way it is today, it boggles my mind how some students still struggle just to graduate. There are many factor that contribute to this, but I believe that there are three that stick out the most. Television, Hollywood/upper class and finally, parental involvement (or lack their of). These three issues impact a child's impressionable mind the most. In my opinion all three need to spend more time informing the youth of America about the importance of a good education. With positive influence towards the education system for children's role models there is almost zero chance of failure.
All things are good in moderation but we as Americans and especially children have made it a part of every day life. Kids know what shows are on and at what times. This makes kids feel obligated to watch them. They don't want to miss an episode so they can keep in touch. The next day they can't wait to talk about it with friends at school.
