Red, White, and BlueÂ…what about lavender?

I'm here to define and analyze the age old issue of gays in the military. It has always been a mind boggling issue for me. I don't understand how there are so many aspects that make up a person, and there is only one that our government chooses to focus so heavily on. The most prevalent problem that arises in conversation of this issue is that, apparently, every homosexual person is a sexual predator without inhibitions and will pounce on anything of the same sex that has a heartbeat. Any human being with a decent head on their shoulders will know that this simply is not true. One's sexual orientation no more defines them in their entirety than does a heterosexual's lifestyle define everything about them. The law banning homosexuals from serving in the military is ludicrous. The basic factors of equality, unity, and necessity all point in favor of a non-discriminatory military selection.
