John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29, 1917. He was the son of Joseph Patrick Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald. All of his male ancestors had been some kind of political figure in the United States. His grandfathers, Patrick Joseph Kennedy and John Francis Fitzgerald, both owned large business corporations in Boston. JFK's father was a highly successful business man who was later an ambassador to Great Britain.
Kennedy had many medical problems that seem to be secrets kept from the public. He had a bad case of colitis which eventually caused him to have Osteoporosis. He was also diagnosed with Addison's disease at a young age. Kennedy entered Harvard University where he received a degree in Science. He graduated in 1940.
