Are Christians Living Up To Biblical Standards?
In any superficial society, there are always the exceptions, individuals who manage not to give in to the pressures put on them to conform. In this case, these individuals are called Christians. According to the Bible, Christians are supposed to be the “salt of the earth” and a light unto others to show them the best possible way to live their life. Christians are put in the spotlight whenever there is the temptation for them to sin. Temptation seems to come from everywhere today, especially forms of entertainment. Movies and TV shows are saturated in violence, harsh language, sex, and drugs while popular music deals with some of the same topics. These examples of a culture whose main focus is sin leads people to think that this kind of behavior is the norm and therefore acceptable.
One would think this is where the Christian would step in and preach to good news to all of humanity thus saving the planet from eternal damnation. Unfortunately, while this is a great concept, most......
