The Interview

My interview was scheduled for 5pm, but being the unorganized person that I am, I didn't get specific direction and I had gotten myself lost. Entering the building at 5:15 for my interview, my nostrils filled with a fresh smell of cleaning products. The waiting room was filled with empty chairs, a fish tank with brightly colored fish, and enough magazines for a bus full of people. The windows looked as if they were just cleaned. The carpets were freshly vacuumed and the temperature was cool. At first sight, I was impressed.

I was interviewing for a secretarial position, but as the manager described to me the Medical Assistant (MA) position, I became more interested in what that position might entail. I scheduled a day to shadow the MA the following week.
