In "Essentials of Spontaneous Prose," Kerouac implements his style of "blowing" the words onto the paper in an undisturbed manner. Kerouac explains his directions for literary prose in a way that seems like a one-on-one, philosophical conversation. He implements this undisturbed flow' by using run-on sentences and using dashes which helps connect the ideas with one another.
