If Dead Poet's Society was untitled, I would title it Corrosion of Conformity because John Keating was someone who tried to break the barriers of norms in society, and made his students realize that they needed to think for themselves and break through the conformity that held back their potential.
John Keating was a daring man, someone who thought for himself and tried to get his students to adapt his philosophy of thinking "outside the box" and not just following the same things everyone else was. The first time the students ever opened their textbooks, Mr. Keating had them rip out the part that told them the "proper" way to go about analizing and reading literature. He taught his class in a way that appalled fellow professors. He was someone who took chances, and understood that the key to education was thinking for yourself. He strongly supported the latin saying "Carpe Diem" which ment "Seize the Day" because he believed that everyone only has a limited time on earth and in......
