Input Alternatives
a. The best way to input printed material would be using a scanner and OCR software.
Although OCR software can misinterpret words if not printed well.

b. Voice input would be the best but it is far from perfected yet.
Almost same as above must be spoken clearly to interpret.

c. MICR (magnetic ink character recognition)
It's what banks use for this and it seems to work well.

d. Universal Product Code (UPC) symbol by means of barcode scanner.
It is seen in almost every modern store today. Works great.

e. Again a scanner, but business use electronic copies to manipulate the data
rather than just to store data and compute results

Output Devices

a. Liquid Crystal Display because of size and weight.
They are quickly becoming the NORM for everything
