Abstract
The paper shows that Gestalt theory contributed much to the study of human vision and object perception. It explains that the eye does not consciously select objects as was suggested in earlier theories. The writer explains that Gestalt theory proposes that the eye tends to group objects into meaningful units, and that this grouping is an organizational behavior.
