Okay, first and foremost this chapter is basically one that simply describes the attitude and behavior of a Christian. It begins verse 1, "If then you were raised with Christ." This applies if you are baptized and robed in the body of Christ. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:2-7, Galatians 3:27)
"Seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God." The NIV translation reads it as "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things" In other words, keep in mind that our life on this earth is but a blink in time, and eternity is to be spent either with Christ or devoid of his love for eternity. Keep him in mind in all that we do. Verse 3 "3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." (Romans 6:1-13)
