Personal Statement On Literature

Throughout most of my academic career, I never had any motivation to read as it was constantly forced upon me in an undesirable manner. My teachers would force books upon me without ever allowing me to try to read under my own free will. As it is with almost anything that you force someone to do, it led to my dislike of reading. It was not until I had finally done that which the teachers had not allowed me, did I finally see the light. I had picked up a book out of my own desire, the purpose being that of reading it for my own purposes, without being told to, was which gavethe birth of to my love for literature. This love would blossom to entertain, educate, and fill the empty spaces of my life without fault.
My focus on literature is one that has become truly integrated......
