In this section of the song he is talking to a girl he likes. In the first two lines he says he wants to be her teddy bear, which is something girls like to hug, say is cute, and love. These are also things he wants her to do to him. The next two lines are talking about her putting a leash on him and taking him anywhere which is where he talks about how she has a hold on him and he will do whatever she wants. Then the last two lines are just a repetition of the first.
This music is different from music today because of length as one example. A lot of the music by Elvis is short; it only has two or three stanzas while music nowadays has six or seven stanzas.
