What is Culture?

What is culture? A word that’s confused and misinterpreted everyday. Culture is the idea of what is wrong or right, the concept of what is acceptable within our society. Culture serves us as a guide, taking us to the “right way” and helping us to make sense of things that surrounds us. There are many different cultures around the world. A lot of them are similar in specific ways and others are just completely different, this difference explains why we think that people from different backgrounds are “weird”. So today in this essay I will explain how culture is everywhere around me and how it makes me who I am.
Cooking! Cooking is a big thing in my family and culture. Around this time every year, my family and I would get together at my moms house and cook. As usual, the woman would cook and the men would sit around watching games, chatting, and drinking. How typical right? Well not actually. On holidays most African Americans normally eat/cook “Soul Food”.......
