in the beginnings our relations with iraq were a little rough and ridged hoh ever we managed to get along with the iraqi government. how ever we must go farther back to understand how our relations even began. in the early to mid 70's the iraq and iran war started. however iraq did not have the funding for the war so we supported iraq by supporting them with about a billion dollars. this war lasted for about eight years befor the war finnally ended. as the years after the war wound on we became extreemly suspicious of the iraqi government trying to do things they shoulden't be doing.
well shure enough our suspissions were finally relized in the late 80's iraq started to blame kuwait of steeling oil from iraqi oil fields. then in the middle of the year in 1989 iraq started to mass troopes on the kuwaiti border. then with in a matter of days iraq invaded kuwait and started to take over the kuwaiti government.
