"Free vacation!" My sister called me and told me she was taking me to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Cape Hatteras is also known as "The Outer Banks" or "OBX." She had planned to share a beach house with two other families and insisted that I go. I told her I did not enough money to go, but she was adamant that I go. Since I had not been on vacation or visited a beach in thirteen years, I was ecstatic! My sister, her 3 children and I left the following week, but our road trip down was not so fun. Even though we had a Tropical Storm threat, we had a great, relaxing week!

We left on a Saturday morning at 8:30am, our coffee in hand, and a great big smile on our face. At 9:30, we were not smiling because my sister's husband had repacked the van and it was very uncomfortable. On the way to the beach, the traffic jams were unbelievable!
