Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a very well-written book. And from what I've read, I can say that it is a very universal book with indefinite meanings based from our interpretations. Mine was that, Jonathan never seemed to be content with what he has, but not in the sense of material goods, but the fact that he believes that he has what it takes to expand his wing-span of capabilities, literally. Seagulls have been doing the same thing everyday; and to compare it with us people, most of us follow the stereo-type based on our interests. We never seem to deviate. And what Jonathan has made me realize is that, we'll never know if we don't try. He believed that to live life to the fullest is the best way to live life. Most of us, do what others do just because a majority of a ceratin social class is doing the same thing. I don't believe in traditions and cultures. We should always be free of making our own decisions and doing what we want to do. It just depends if what we're doing is......
