George Washington

George Washington was a very strong man. Little did he know that he would become Commander in Chief of the Continental army during the Revolutionary War. Being Commander and Chief was a tough job, but General Washington got through it. He dealt with traitors, emotional changes, struggles with battles, and problems with the army/soldiers, but he still came out okay. Here’s a little summary of his life during the Revolutionary War.
The Battle of Monmouth, (Monmouth, NJ), (June of 1778) was an unexpected win from General Lee. Yep, that’s right General Lee ordered the troops to retreat, but George Washington would never let that happen! So, He didn’t. He told the army to fight for freedom. Then, he ordered General Lee off the field. Since George Washington didn’t let General Lee order them around like children, a good thing happened! The Continental army won! By golly, they won!
