George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards

George Whitefield is the best thing that ever happened to me. His preaching gives new meaning to my faith! I actually want to go out and hear and proclaim the good news, instead of sitting in a boring church with an old minister droning on about something. Whitefield’s voice is an aspect of my faith alone. It rings out with such triumph that shows that the good news he is giving is actually great. I used to think that I was being faithful to God by reluctantly sitting in a church and half listening. Now I feel the need to go to services, and I am happy to do so. George Whitefield has saved the image of the Church in my mind, and now it is like one big, happy family.
Whitefield is a Calvinist, unlike my former preachers. It is a change, but a change for the better. Whitefield emphasizes Church as a whole unified body. He thinks religion should be a family that accepts everyone, which is good for me since it is hard to make......
