History Of Led Zeppelin

The history of Led Zeppelin is absolutely incredible. The band formed in 1968, in England. The band consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. Led Zeppelin is credited for being the first heavy metal bands. Their music was a variety of blues, folk, rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, pop, Latin and country.
Led Zeppelin used to be called The Yardbirds. Jimmy Page joined The Yardbirds in 1966 to play bass guitar after the lead bassist left the band, soon after, Jimmy Page switched to second lead guitar. Some of Led Zeppelin’s influences include: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley. After Led Zeppelin, Jones played with a number of artists and bands including: R.E.M, Heart, Ben E.King, Foo Fighters and many more.
