Ancient Greece influenced our western civilization in many ways. It produced philosophers, scientist, mathematicians, artists, writers and architects in our civilization. As Americans we have learned and took on many things from the Greeks. Greeks were one of the most advanced cultures. Having theaters, Olympics, myths and many other things. Our civilization today is still completely interested with folklore and folk tales. Today we don’t believe in more than one God unlike the Greek culture they are polytheistic. Many people today don’t realize how big of an affect that Ancient Greece has on us. Out of all the things that influenced us from Greek were the Olympics. Just like that Greeks, we compete in competition with opponents looking for the highest honor. Today the Olympics are all over the world and draw millions of people’s attention every year.
