It is said that the anonymous man in the Potomac River, characterizes the best a human could possibly be. I know that nearly every human is capable of acting as heroically as the man in the water. Yet I don’t believe every person has the will power to be that courageous. Of course there is the fact that in today’s society there are people without his physical endurance. A Person’s values also play a tremendous part in whether or not a man is willing to risk his life to save a stranger. Lastly, my generation is selfish, so it is difficult to say that someone could show such selflessness. I know that every person has the capability to be heroic, yet there are very few with the will power.
Not every person is physically strong enough to be a hero. The man in the water was described as strong and a very good swimmer. In reality, not every person is muscular and if you are like me, not every person can swim. I’m sure there are other situations where you can be a hero without......
