My Hero

My heroes are the people who put their lives on the line, whether it’s necessary or not, for our freedom. When George W. Bush says we need to go to war with another country, these people are the ones that are shipped out with their M16 rifles and army boots and told to go fight an enemy in a distant land. These people are the United States soldiers.
Whether they enlisted to get funding for college, or just because they wanted to be a part of something, or both, our soldiers are here to defend us when called upon. Just imagine, getting up one day and receiving notification that you are going to be sent to a hostile country where peace and freedom don’t exist. What do you say to you’re family, and if you have children, how do you explain something like this? “Well kids, daddy has to go shoot some terrorists, but I’ll be back home within the year, hopefully.� Think about it.
