Army
The men and women of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers constitute a diverse workforce whose mission is to respond to the nation's needs in peace and war. The Corps' biologists, engineers, geologists, hydrologists, natural resource managers, small business specialist, contract specialist, real estate specialists and other professionals serve as leaders in engineering and environmental matters to meet the demands of changing times and requirements as a vital part of America's Army.
The Corps designs and manages the construction of military facilities for the Army and Air Force and provides design and construction management support for other Defense and Federal agencies. The Corps also plans, designs, builds and operates water resources and other civil works projects.
The Chief of Engineers has separate and distinct command and staff responsibilities. As a staff officer, the Chief advises the Army on engineering matters and serves as the Army's topographer......
