Apathy
Apathy is a state of indifference, where an individual has an absence of interest or concern to certain aspects of emotional, social, or physical life. The origin in Greek literally means “without feelings”. What is the cause of apathy? It is often a sense of powerlessness that causes people to withdraw from life. The ultimate cause is their attitude and the way they react to the changing world.
Student apathy is the fear of being ridiculed and rejected by your peers. This sometimes prevents students from candidly offering their opinions‘. Apathy, can lead to lack of involvement in school work and other activities. This is particularly apparent for those in 20 to 25 age group. Here a quick example of apathy.
