I have recently read the book A CHILD CALLED IT and it was very intense. The book is based on the true story of Dave Pelzer and my god is it insane. Through out the whole book Dave is being tortured as a little boy by his mother to the extent where he almost dies. While I was reading this my stomach started to turn from the horrible things that have happened to Dave as a little boy. The worst thing that happened to Dave was his mom stabbing him in the stomach because he made her made. I read this and I just started wondering how anyone could do this to their son. If I were Dave I would have run away to the police station after this happened to report his mother. Then his dad knowing this was happening let it go on with out trying to stop it or taking the boy away from his mother. This would also hurt Dave mentally because his father was his idle and by his father letting this happen he felt that he wasn’t loved. To me the father is just as guilty as the mother.
