Thirteen days, or what I saw of it, was an excellent movie. It demonstrated power, of the President (John Fitzgerald Kennedy at the time), America’s powers, and worst of all, it showed what the government can hide from us civilians.
John Kennedy demonstrated power throughout this whole movie. When ever someone else tried to walk all over his toes, he would say “NO ONES MAKING THE DECISIONS HERE EXCEPT ME!…I’M THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!� and I really liked that he wanted to control HIS nation. He showed excellent leadership skills throughout the whole movie. When he didn’t want the nation to know about Cuba’s plan attack, the nation didn’t know. And when he decided it was time for them to find out, he told everyone. He took care of America in this movie, and situation…hell I’m glad we had Kennedy then instead of Bush, could you imagine how big of a mess that would have been?
