Freedom is a very influential concept. Its technical denotation is: the condition of being able to use or move about in as desired. The word is always a noun. The type of word freedom is is a value. Freedom has many different connotations because it can be applied to many different situations. Three of its synonyms are liberty, independence, and emancipation. Freedom is a powerful word that has inspired many people and nations throughout the history of the world.
One of freedom's connotations is a political connotation. When freedom has this connotation, it refers to a government that does not have any people who are enslaved or oppressed in any way. Because it has a political connotation, freedom is often confused with the word democracy. However, there are many distinct differences between freedom and democracy.
