My book report is on the book ‘Maniac Magee’ by Jerry Spinelli. The reason why I chose ‘Maniac Magee’ is because I love Jerry Spinelli books. They’re always very good. ‘Maniac Magee’ is kind of a ‘warm-your-heart’ book.

I’ll tell you a little about the story, but not a lot, because I don’t want to spoil it for you! The story is about a young boy that runs away from his new home and the few new friends he meets along the way. Some of the characteristics about Magee are that he is sad a lot, he runs a way a lot, and he doesn’t trust a lot of people.

Magee is also a pretty nice guy once he stops running and he gets a chance to talk to someone. He doesn’t understand a lot of stuff that is going on in his life at the time. Magee just wants someone to help him understand and try to make some sense of things for him.
