Early Life:
William Shakespeare is known to be born on the 23rd of April 1564. Very little is known about William although he is considered to be the greatest writer in the English language. During his career he had written a total of 13 comedies, 13 historical plays, 6 tragedies, 4 tragicomedies, 154 sonnets and countless poems. William is known to be the third of eight children in the household, three who died in childhood. William was the son of John Shakespeare and Mary Ardon. Mary Ardon was the youngest in her family and had come from a wealthy farming family. She lived in Stratford all of her life. John Shakespeare was a successful Tanner, Leatherworker and Glover. Mary married John Shakespeare in 1557 and William was born seven years later. William Shakespeare’s plays are still staged today all over the world in different types of languages.
