Warming Of A Snowcovered Planet
Snowboarders and I would like to think that the world is always going to have massive amounts of snowpack for the winter sports community to enjoy. Because of our actions, we’ve recognized greenhouse gases from human activity are the contributing factors in global warming, thus resulting in shorter winters and less snowpack. It’s sad to say that because of these actions, the sport we love may not be available for generations to come. With a few simple changes, we can help change the course of the future.
To illustrate the effects of global warming, one must define what global warming is. Accordingly, the dictionary says, “Global warming is an increase in world's temperatures: believed to be caused in part by the greenhouse effect.” In other words, mountains cover approximately 25 percent of earth's surface and provide a home to more than one-tenth of global human population.
