As the deciding council member for the Malathion pesticide vote I am going to say yes. This is something that has to be done in Genericville. This city has already had people with illnesses from the mosquito population and something has to be done to stop it from happening to anyone else. I know some of the people in the city do not want this done but I feel it is necessary for a few reasons. I will explain further.

West Nile Virus is a disease that spreads primarily through mosquitoes. Genericville has a wide river that runs through it and mosquitoes are attracted to water. According to a study done by the Center for Disease Control there were 4,269 WNV cases in the U.S in 2006 and 177 were fatalities.
