Lyme disease is a bacterial illness caused by bacertia called “spirchete”. It can be found in ticks and can be spread from tick to tick. It can also be found on the skin of deer and is found in there stomachs. Lyme disease affects different parts of the body. It causes a rash that is often assosicated with flu like symptoms.
Signs and Symptoms
• Rash (red bumps)
• Flu like symptoms such as fever or chills
• Neurological problems (inflammation around the brain)
• Migratory joint pain (mainly in the knees)
• Heart problems
• Skin problems such as patches or thick skin

Risk Factors
• Spending time in woods or grassy areas where deer or ticks are present
• Having exposed skin
• Not removing ticks properally
Treatment
