Operations management is about the way businesses effectively and efficiently produce goods and services. Operations managers are key to the success of the business. In this paper I will discuss operations management and analyze an ethics decision made by an operations manager in an organization. The objective of an operations manager is to generate assets and capital by providing quality goods and services.
According to Chase, Jacobs, and Aquilano (2006) operations management has been a key element in the improvement in productivity in businesses around the world. Every business is looking for the best strategy to attain financial success and operations managers are responsible for achieving that goal. Businesses must change to remain competitive.
