Abortion is a very controversial subject that has been continually argued over for a very long time. Due to the severity of the consequences of an abortion and the moral and religious elements involved, this is an ethical controversy and has divided people for decades. The main controversy is should abortion be legalized? In many eyes abortion is sought to be rather disturbing, unethical, and immoral. Only in extreme cases do I believe abortions should be condoned, which is rape victims and other extreme cases of misconduct to another human being.
Abortion is the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mother’s womb. This is performed for a variety of reasons. Women may become overwhelmed by the thought of their pregnancy and may take it into their own hands whether it be by hurting themselves, medicine, back alley abortions, or by going to a professional.
