"Fear Mongering" In The Terminator

The exaggeration of fear or fear mongering is used widespread in movies everyday to promote and instill fear in its audiences. The movie The Terminator is a prime example of this type of strategy. Since the introduction of technology, people have feared that one day people will be overtaken by machines in mass shapes, sizes, and numbers. Since the release of the movie, people began to think about this horror and then the fear went widespread. This paper will be monitoring how this fear was marketed as far as mass media, an analysis of the way the fear was advertised to the consumers on the movie commercial, why Americans fear AI, and to see what this fear is and if it is actually legit.
