World War I Info

The home front of World War I was just as important as the troops on the ground. How the country was developing while the soliders were at war and how they adapted to having so many men gone from the war was phenominal. Women, conservation, and propoganda ads. World War I not only impacted the soliders and government, but impacted the home front on how they would continue to make progress without the men that were in their country.
Women showed a great part in the home front as well as the men who fought in the war. Often times women were left by themselves becomes their husbands were forced or volunteered to go to war. This was a major problem because of the lack of work women did on average before the war started. The contriubtions that women put forth during the war was amazing. People soon believed that the war actually was begining to help women politicaly and economically. As reported on BBC, women estimatedly replaced two million men in Britain by itself.
