In this new age of business, leaders today are faced with challenges that by nature and essence will always remain a constant struggle, and the continuous process to adapt and adjust to meet these challenges. Within this essay, we will identify the three major challenges that leaders face: ourselves, change, and people.

Self, what does it mean? If someone was to ask, “Who are you?” How would you answer? In philosophy, “the self is the idea of a unified being which is the source of an idiosyncratic consciousness. Moreover, this self is the agent responsible for the thoughts and actions of an individual to which they are ascribed. It is something which endures through time; thus, the thoughts and actions at different moments of time may pertain to the same self.” (Wikipedia. 2006)
