Fascism
At first, fascism promised many things to the people of Italy and Germany, which satisfied them briefly. However this eventually led to World War II and the downfall of these countries’ fascist regimes. Fascism in both Italy and Germany offered solutions to economic, military and political problems for the middle classes. Fascism was extreme with nationalism and had a strong militaristic nature. The major consequence of militarism was that it was inevitable that war would occur. World War II ultimately crushed the fascist regimes in Italy and Germany, and caused the downfall of the fascist dictators Bennito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler.
Fascism became popular in Italy and Germany as if it offered solutions to economic, military and political problems for the middle classes. Jobs, security, and national glory were offered by fascism. To the peasants and small farmers, fascism offered land and an end to taxes. For small businessmen and shopkeepers stability was promised,......
