Explain how Act 3 Scene 5 is the key turning point of the play

Act 3 Scene 5 of Romeo and Juliet are a key turning point in the play, which affects the two tragic lover’s fate. The series of events occurred in this scene had lead to their death. Juliet was furious about their parents’ decision to wed someone else and also annoyed by the nurse’s betrayal. It encouraged her into decision that led to unfortunate endings.

The scene begins with Romeo on his escape to Mantua, far away from Verona. Juliet was left in a depressed mood, when Lady Capulet entered. Lady Capulet miss understood her daughter’s emotions, and her cold words deeply hurt her feelings for Romeo.

“Well, girl, thou weep’st not so much for his death, as that the villain lives which slaughter’d him.” (Line 88)

Juliet acted to agree with her mother’s thoughts, while still mournful for her cousin and Romeo. Later, her mother brings her news she thought Juliet might like to hear, to marry......
