A Review of Garbage Warrior
The film Garbage warrior is the story of an architectural visionary who hoped to spread his ideas of sustainable housing. Michael Reynolds seems to be one of the few who architects who questioned how modern building was affecting the planet and wondered whether or not we, as humans, were working with the earth or just using it to maintain the current industrialized why of life. The film examines his journey through a rough period where Reynolds had his ideas challenged by the New Mexico state government where he had started building his homes. Through this writing I will discuss Reynolds story as depicted in the film and respond to the ideas he presents to the viewer.
The film starts with taking us to Reynolds home in Toas, New Mexico where he, his wife and crew live. He tells us of his upbringing as a Baptist and once he was able he moved out right away. Growing up Reynolds recalls his father saving everything from bottles to cans in the basement......
