The brain is the part of the central nervous system in the vertebrate cranium that is responsible for interpretation of sensory impulse, coordination and control of bodily activities, and exercise of emotion and thought (Webster’s II University Dictionary). The brain looks like a double lump of pinkish-gray jelly weighting about three pounds. It is made up of billions of neurons. The brain has two hemispheres, the left and right.
