Weight And Blood Pressure Management In Adolescence Population

My client’s characteristics
The teaching project that I have chosen to work on is for 18 years old girl presented in the scenario two. Based on the information provided, she is an adolescence with a blood pressure of 150/90 mmHg. This blood pressure range puts her in a 95th percentile as for the average for her age group which is diagnostic of hypertension (CDC.gov, 2008). Also, she has family history of heart problems. At 50 years old, her father died of a heart attack and her aunt and uncle had cardiac bypass surgery. Also, her grandmother has died from stroke at 67 years old. In addition, my client is at 75 percentile for height and 95 percentile and above for weight. According to the Height and Weight Measurements for Girls, she is proximately 66 inches tall and weights 183 lbs. with a body mass index of 30 (95%) (as cited in Hockenberry & Wilson p.) . She is overweight, has high blood pressure and has family history of heart disease which puts her at a increased risk for......
