Prejudice Tkamb&Amp;Amp;Amp;Philadelphia
Prejudice is something that blinds us all. Studying the realistic novel To Kill a Mockingbird, I can agree that it has expanded my knowledge of prejudice by much more than I had already known. However, it is shown through the eyes of a 9 year old, so to some extent, it has its limitations as most 9 year olds also have their own points of view about the things that happen around them. To Kill a Mockingbird presents many conflicting pictures of prejudice and the situations also show that prejudice can be overcome. Another text that relates to the book is the movie Philadelphia. In this movie there is a strongly negative attitude towards the homosexuals and it is also a very good movie that shows an individual’s attitudes towards prejudice.
