• Australia - All Ordinaries :
All Ordinaries is also known as All Ordinaries Index. It was started in year 1980 being an oldest index of shares in Australia, because it has almost all common shares listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). The companies in the All Ordinaries shows more than 95% of the market capitalization of all shares which are listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. They have a base index of 500. In year 2000 All ordinaries was restructured to consist of 500 largest companies by market capitalization which resulted into the emergence of S&P/ASX 200 index , which reduced the importance of All Ordinaries Index.
