I think that the connection that we may feel to the place that we were born depends on many things. First of all, it would depend on whether you relate yourself to that place. For instance, I was born in Colombia but I never felt like I belonged there because we didn’t have any rights till 1991 and although 26% of the population is black, we are called a “minority”. or one may not agreed with the customs that are practiced in that place. For example, I never agreed with the way boys are brought up, the society in Colombia makes man look like they are superior and thee are certain things men are not supposed to do because otherwise they are classified as “weak” or not a “real man”.

On the other hand, it might also be the case that you were born there by accident, I mean that, the place is just your birthplace but you have never been there afterwards and basically you know nothing about it, so how could you have any connection to it?. Moreover, you may also feel a......
