Gender is defined as a grammatical category used in the classification of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and, in some languages, verbs that may be arbitrary or based on characteristics such as sex or sexual identity, especially in relation to society or culture. Regrettably, in our culture, gender has become something that has developed many stereotypes and expectations that create a difficult and uncomfortable environmental for the people of our society. Some of the most damaging stereotypes related to gender include the egotistical, controlling man, or of the emotional, sensitive, and vulnerable woman. The typecast of the woman, for instance, has generated many limitations and impediments for the women who have come before us, and even for those living now. The woman being dictated by her emotions has brought her to be condescended upon, looked at as the weaker sex.
